The first book in the Bible ________ and the last book ___________ affirm that God ‘created all things,’ but how about the ‘other things’? For example, if God did not create danger, difficulty, disease, and death, who or what did create these things? _____

So if sin, disease, and death are not real, how come we know about them?

What did Jesus say about his ‘special’ ability to help people overcome s-d-and-d?

Again this week we have an example of that kind of so-called ‘thinking’ that refused Jesus and accused Jesus. What group of Jewish leaders seemed to be stuck in this mortalnomind rejection of God-like, Christ-like thinking? The P__________.
This time they say to Jesus, you bear record of yourself, make these claims about yourself that you are the light of the world, but no one else affirms what you say. You have no witnesses telling us who you really are. How do you think Jesus responded to this accusation? John 8: 12-15, 28

If God makes s-d-and-d, then why should humans try to overcome them? Some theologians (people who study to learn about God and religion) say this: God did not make s-d-and-d but God allows them! I don’t think so! Would you allow something, like bullying, that you are totally against? ______ I’d say a ‘God’ that allows what He totally disapproves of is not a God of intelligence and authority! What do you say? God is not just a super-sized mortal who believes that mistakes are made;

Maybe we don’t have to get rid of all three, sin, disease, and death. We just need to out-grow and set-aside one of them, the belief in a creation and power opposed to God, good. Which is the one we need to refuse again and again? ______

Why didn’t Jesus leave town when the Jewish leaders and Roman officials refused his message and wanted to get rid of him? In other words, why did Jesus stay in Jerusalem when he knew he would be crucified? What was Jesus’ purpose in going through the crucifixion?

Did Jesus fail or succeed in his mission to prove the all-power of God and God’s man?



Thank you God, thank you Christ Jesus, thank you Mary Baker Eddy! I am growing in my understanding that sin, disease, and death are not real things to be feared. God did not make them so God’s man proves her/his dominion over them.
